Mike has spent over 20 years in the wealth management industry. He held senior business development roles in Extel and acted as consultant to Standard & Poor’s, Thomson Financial and a variety of investment systems and software houses. For the last 10 years he has been Commercial Director for Compeer. Mike has an unparalleled list of contacts among leaders in the financial services industry.
Having joined Compeer in June 2015, Bhaven is responsible for managing our existing wealth management and private banking client relationships. In addition, he is developing relations with asset management firms to extend our business performance benchmarking service.
Prior to working at Compeer, Bhaven worked in equity sales for HNWI clients at Whitman Howard. He graduated from The London School of Economics, where he studied Economics and Economic History. He is a member of CISI, holding the IAD qualification.
James joined Compeer in October 2006 as an Analyst following his graduation from The University of Warwick, where he studied Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics.
Today he manages Compeer’s team of Analysts. He has widely presented key trends in the UK Wealth Management Industry, with in-depth experience of providing statistical analysis of firms’ business performance. He regularly provides recommendations during presentations to Executive boards and is actively involved in bespoke research projects.
Nik joined Compeer in January 2013 after building experience in many aspects of the financial markets, covering equity, syndicated loans and corporate bonds as an analyst at both Bloomberg and Moody’s Investor Service.
He is the lead analyst on Compeer’s Compliance, WealthTech and Outsourcing research projects that aim to discover how wealth managers can deal with the disruption brought about by regulation, how to optimise use of technology and whether outsourcing agreements are effective in the UK wealth management market. Nik’s responsibilities also include benchmarking reports and bespoke research. He studied Financial Economics at The University of Liverpool, graduating in 2007.
Sarah joined Compeer in January 2015, having graduated from the University of Oxford in 2014. Since joining the firm she has been heavily involved in bespoke research projects on topics such as outsourcing, digital transformation, CRM systems, and using outsourcing to improve digital offerings. She is also involved with the production of the firm’s specialist benchmarking reports.
Prior to Compeer, she completed internships in Paris with Ashurst and Alcatel Lucent (both French speaking offices), and in London with Parkwell Management Consultants. She is currently studying towards CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and has completed the Diploma in Management Accounting.
Bruce is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years financial services industry experience around the world. He was a partner in PwC for 20 years providing both audit and a wide range of consultancy services, particularly in the areas of private banking, wealth management and investment management. Bruce now has his own consultancy practice, has been a Non-Executive director of Compeer since August 2010 and is helping the company create a range of new services for the wealth management and investment management industry.
Dr Tim May is a Non-Executive Director of both Compeer and Investec Wealth and Investment. He was CEO of the Wealth Management Association from 2010 to 2014. Prior to this he was a member of the Executive Management Team at Euroclear and Chairman of Euroclear UK and Ireland, EMXCo and Xtrakter.
Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer of Gerrard, the UK private client wealth management company, and before that head of UK Operations and joint IT Head Worldwide for Investec. His commercial career began at Chemical Bank, followed by seven years at Citicorp and later at the stock-broking firm Scrimgeour Vickers Asset Management. Before embarking on a career in finance Tim was a Schoolmaster for several years.
